Ewald Kemp (Founder-Tour Operator and Guide)
Ewald : Coming from a teaching background where I was specializing in sport, I joined the Department of Sport and Recreation as a liaison officer. Where I worked for 25 years organizing and promoting sport and recreation on a local and international level. During this time I was involved in organizing events such as International Rugby and Netball Tours, Cape to Rio Yacht Race, Rapport Cycle Tour, American Gymnastic Team visiting SA and international deep sea fishing competitions.
Being a very keen hunter and fisherman myself I've organized many hunting Safaris for local hunting groups.
I qualified as a tour guide in 2002 and I am in possession of a category EC drivers licence with a valid Professional Driving Permit. I especially enjoy doing tours of Cape Town and the Garden Route, because of my knowledge of the area and its people.
Pieter de Villiers (Sport Tours)
Pieter : Is a retired South African-born French rugby union footballer who represented France at international level and played in two Rugby World Cups, and ended his club career with Stade Français in the Top 14 competition in France. A prop, he was renowned for his scrummaging ability.
At the club level, he has had a very successful career, playing on teams that won the Bouclier de Brennus as French champions in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2007.
In December 2007, Pieter suffered a neck injury that sidelined him for a large part of the 2007-08 season. On 18 April 2008, he announced his retirement from all rugby, effective at the end of the 2007-08 season. Read more Sporting Heroes
